Christmas at our house (celebrated early)
Ashleigh has a fever, so she's a little out of sorts, but is happy with the toy. Courage is opening her version of the same toy. They are both toys that go on the refrigerator.

Isaiah Matthew Hightree

Isaiah weighed 8 pounds 6 oz, was 21 inches long, and had a 14 inch circumference of his head. He was born at 10:30 pm on Dec 4. Kyra and Josh came home this evening, so their hospital stay was about 24 hours. So far Isaiah seems to be resting well. His cry isn't booming, either, although he definitely can let you know when he isn't happy. He is healthy and very red, probably partly from skin irritation from the fast delivery. His nose isn't smashed at all, and is very cute. He is a fine looking baby, if I may say so.

Halloween
I don't have any pictures to post, but I do have amusing anecdotes. Ashleigh is two, and we stayed home again this year. We have a lot of kids in our neighborhood. The first group of trick or treaters came to our house. Ashleigh and Courage ran to the door to see who it was. Ashleigh looked around the group until she saw the skeleton costume. She backed slowly away from the door and stood by her mom. Then she came over to me, deep in thought. She shuddered. The next time the doorbell rang, she ran panicked to the couch by me and stood where she could see the door. She looked at the costumes she could see, but didn't say much. The next groups came and she stood closer to the door. She finally came to me after a group left and said, "no ick". Then she was excited. She kept saying, "more boys?" The last group of the night came, and she and Courage stood and watched the boys. Since Halloween, everytime Ani barks, she runs to the couch, stares at the door, and asks excitedly, "more boys?". She's really disappointed when we tell her no more boys will be coming. Courage was right at the door every time, no reaction. She apparently just thought it was another interesting but normal day.

Ashleigh and Courage
In the second video Ashleigh notices that Ani wants out, so she lets her out. In the third video, Ani sits at the bottom of the stairs waiting for Ashleigh to move, and Ashleigh is trying to get Ani to come up so she can let her in.
Courage wouldn't talk for me anyway, so here is a silent movie of her. My camera resets with no sound, and I don't know it until I watch the silent movies. Ashleigh LOVES to go places in the car.
For those of you unfamiliar with Courage's history, Josh believed God wanted him to name Courage Courage. He argued with God at length, but finally gave in. This video takes place at the zoo. Josh, Ashleigh and Courage are on top; Kyra waits at the bottom, presumably for Ashleigh to come down. Josh asks Courage if she wants to go down the slide. Courage says, "yup" and off she goes. If your volumn is up, you can hear all four of them. This gives some insight into what God knew that we didn't. It also proves that the girls own clothes. Josh then asks Ashleigh if she wants to go down the slide. She lets everyone go first, then Josh took her down (not in the video).
