Halloween

I don't have any pictures to post, but I do have amusing anecdotes. Ashleigh is two, and we stayed home again this year. We have a lot of kids in our neighborhood. The first group of trick or treaters came to our house. Ashleigh and Courage ran to the door to see who it was. Ashleigh looked around the group until she saw the skeleton costume. She backed slowly away from the door and stood by her mom. Then she came over to me, deep in thought. She shuddered. The next time the doorbell rang, she ran panicked to the couch by me and stood where she could see the door. She looked at the costumes she could see, but didn't say much. The next groups came and she stood closer to the door. She finally came to me after a group left and said, "no ick". Then she was excited. She kept saying, "more boys?" The last group of the night came, and she and Courage stood and watched the boys. Since Halloween, everytime Ani barks, she runs to the couch, stares at the door, and asks excitedly, "more boys?". She's really disappointed when we tell her no more boys will be coming. Courage was right at the door every time, no reaction. She apparently just thought it was another interesting but normal day.
